How we handle your information

Effective: October 9, 2026

M.U.K. Accounting ("we", "us") operates the website mukaccounting.net. This policy explains what information the website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

When you send a request through the website, we receive the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in, a preferred date and any comment you add. If you tick the text-message box, we also record that consent.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, EINs, bank or card details, or tax documents through the website. We will tell you how to share such documents once you become a client.

Information collected automatically

The website does not use advertising cookies or analytics. It stores your language choice (English or Russian) in your browser so that it is remembered on your next visit. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads; see Google's privacy policy. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which logs visitor IP addresses for security purposes; see GitHub's privacy statement.

How we use your information

We use the details from your request to reply to you, to schedule and confirm appointments, and to remind you about appointments and tax deadlines. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Text messages

If you give consent, we may send you text messages about your appointments and tax deadlines. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving messages and HELP for help. Phone numbers and text-message consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

Client financial information

When you become a client, we collect nonpublic personal and financial information needed to do the work, such as income, payroll and bank records. We do not disclose this information to anyone except as permitted or required by law (for example, to file your returns with the IRS or state agencies), with your written consent, or to service providers who help us run our practice and are bound to keep it confidential. We maintain safeguards to protect this information, as required by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the FTC Safeguards Rule, and we follow the restrictions of Internal Revenue Code §7216 on the use of tax return information.

Retention

We keep request details for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you become a client, for the period required by tax and record-keeping rules.

Your choices

You can ask us to update or delete the details you sent through the website, or withdraw text-message consent, at any time by contacting us below. Deleting information may not be possible where we are required to keep it by law.

Children

The website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top changes when we do.
